Blogging is a Huge and Integrative Part of Your Business.

Blogs Allow YOU to Connect with People – People Are Traffic!

In today’s business world, building relationships is key and when you go further in creating value for your customers they will remain loyal customers, and send referrals your way.

Remember how you felt the last time when great customer service graced your presence. Creating that for your customers, by connecting with them on a personal level through, your blog will create stability in your client base.

Websites are your sales tool and search engines love blogs, because after you create your blog and update it 2 – 3 x a week, and ping it every time you post, the search engines update this hourly.

Whereas, a website, when it has been completed, is not updated as frequently as a blog. The more you update your blog, the more the search engines recognizes you as a business that is staying around and the more you post the more serious they take you and, therefore, your ranking goes up.

What are the Key Benefits of Blogging?

Search Engine Ranking – Blogs rate better in the search engines as information on blogs change frequently so the robots spider the blogs frequently…

Building long lasting relationships with your existing customers where you build trust and can introduce new products as they arise to an open audience. Connecting with new people through your blog, building a new relationship by connecting with what you have written that people can relate to. When you connect with them emotionally, through their feelings people will naturally want to stay connected to you. Putting video on your blog is important as well, it’s another way to connect with people, some relate to visual, others feelings.

Blogs are the best way to get free traffic (if you do it right) – It’s like being listed in the Yellow Pages. People find you because they are looking for something that you have and 9 x out of 10 they will come to your blog and then over to your website where the sale is made;

Traffic from a blog usually converts to sales better than running ads on Google;

WordPress has it’s own traffic and refers your site to people through your metatags;

Blogs have to have relevance and the articles written with your keywords. It’s about connecting with people rather than selling. Articles should be posted 2 to 3 times a week.

Blogs allow you to talk to and connect with people. On your blog customers can leave a comment and you can know when your comment is being responded to through your RSS Feeds.

RSS feeds are a live real time feed from a blog. It let’s subscribers know when your blog has been posted on. Some people will subscribe to an RSS feed when they may not subscribe to your newsletter because there is no personal information involved, all they have to do is click on RSS feed and add to bookmarks.

Technorati submits to all the Social Bookmarking Sites – Social Bookmarking Sites (SBS) are directories for blogs. PingOat submits to SBS & RSS feeds (xml being the biggest provider of rss feeds in cyberspace). This gets your blog listed on thousands of SBS’s & millions of RSS feeds for no cost. Taking the First Step…

It’s all about beginning, taking that first step into the abyss. Knowing you need to go in that direction, yet uncertain of the outcome. That is how the first step to blogging can feel. In a way, it is like life, not always knowing what the next step will bring, just knowing it is a step in the right direction.

When I assist clients as a Virtual Assistant in creating their website or help them with marketing, that first step for the client can feel like a huge one. At Energy of Light we want to help our clients on their first step of being on the internet.

After that first step, next comes internet marketing. Remember Field of Dreams saying “You build it and they will come” Well, there is a marketing campaign course created by C.A.M.P.’s Coach Bob Yeager, that we have found, when implemented, has amazing results.

So, take your first step in creating an online business. If you already have an online business and want to take it to the next level, as a Virtual Assistant we can help!
